Grimaldi's at San Tan Village in Gilbert is our favorite Tuesday date-night destination. The pizzas are great. We like adding onto whatever pizza we get (often "the Don"), ricotta cheese plus fresh basil at the end. Yum. We enjoy sitting at the bar, indoors or outside, always very accommodating, fun chatting with others at the bar, keeping an eye on a game on TV, and especially the half-off wine. The very best part of our evening is getting caught up with Danica, Grimaldi's super-great bartender whom we've enjoyed getting to know over the years. Grimaldi's is lucky to have her!
I'm a tavern style pizza guy so Vero's would typically be my choice for pizza. Grimaldis has traditionally sliced pizza, that tastes very very good. The night we went it was packed, had a 45 minute wait. The wait was well worth it. My daughter who's lived her for 5 years compared to my 2 kept telling me that Grimaldi's was good, I wish I would've listened sooner. We'll be going there more often.
First time trying this spot. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend. The pizza was delicious. However it's the type of pizza that you have to eat right out of the oven. It gets cold very quickly. I will be sure to dine-in on my next visit. I ordered 2 large pizzas. The bbq chicken pizza was a crowd pleaser with my group. It's pricey but very good. The cheesecake was really good as well.
Our first time here. I had wanted to eat here after seeing their advertisement at Sky Harbor Airport Terminal 4. We were seated immediately and a server approached us within a minute. Our server was very friendly and cheerful. We ordered beverages and they were brought to us within a few minutes. We ordered an appetizer and a 12" pepperoni and mushroom pizza. We had the appetizer within 5 minutes and the pizza soon followed as we finished our appetizer. The pizza was perfect! We loved the crust. The sauce, pepperoni and mushrooms were also delicious. We can't wait to return!!!!
The pizza and food here is delicious! It is a little pricier than the norm but the food tastes fresh. The service is always great. The staff is regularly on point and attentive. The ambiance is like walking into a bit of Italy. At dinner time it's a dim, busy restaurant. Can be casual or dressed up.
